Brenda is a leadership coach and consultant specializing in work with high potential leaders and executives. She works with clients to be specific about their goals and their desired “bold moves.” Brenda helps her clients by holding them accountable, at their request, for the actions that they agree to take. Other specific areas of expertise include career and career transition coaching, leadership and 360 assessment and feedback, leadership presence and how to master conflict and difficult conversations and building organization talent.
Brenda gained her expertise in the leadership coaching field through many years of experience and training as an executive and human resources professional at Harris Corporation, headquartered in Melbourne, Florida. She joined the company in 1973 and grew in her career up to the executive ranks. In October 2010, she retired from Harris Corporation to pursue her passion as an independent leadership coach and consultant.
She is a 2009 graduate of the Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Certification Program, where she earned the Professional Coaching Certification (PCC) designation as recognized by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Other coaching related credentials include certification by the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) on the Benchmarks Leadership Assessment tool, graduate of the Adults Development Theory Workshop by Barbara Braham and Chris Wahl, and active membership in the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Brenda holds a BS degree from Rollins College in business and economics. She is a graduate of numerous executive development programs including University of Michigan, Ross School of Business, Strategic Human Resources Program and University of Virginia, Darden School of Business, Leadership Directions.
